BlockDrop

BlockDrop is a modern block-stacking game on a 10x10 square grid, which is a thorough workout for your agile mind, which is reflected in the score you get.

General introduction to BlockDrop

Highlighted with dark blue tones as the background, and the blocks glow brightly when you slowly enter the block. It further defines each movement. The block stacking mechanism of this game is quite familiar from the legendary Tetris when you also have to rotate and drop blocks to fill the horizontal line, but here, you are free to place the blocks anywhere on the grid, creating a gameplay style that is not limited by gravity but the pressure is undeniable. Compared to the 11-11 Block Puzzle, BlockDrop has the same spirit but is limited to a smaller grid size of only 10x10, which helps exercise the mind significantly.

How to play BlockDrop

  • Block changing turns: Each turn, you will receive 3 randomly shaped blocks. Only when all 3 current blocks have been placed on the grid will the new block set appear.
  • Some shapes have the following: T-shaped blocks, L-shaped blocks, 2x2 squares, 3x3, up to 5x2 long bars, or unique corners.
  • Mission: Use the mouse to drag and drop each block on the right column into the board, trying to fill the horizontal or vertical rows to score points and create space for the next blocks.

How is the difficulty solved?

The game does not require time, so you can think freely without pressure. However, the strategy here is that of the 3 blocks given in each turn, which block should be placed first? Satisfying both the unfinished blocks on the grid and optimizing the remaining space. Because one wrong move can cost you the chance to place the next block and end the game early. With each completed row, the score will increase, and the vivid glowing effect creates an extremely satisfying feeling.
